NEW 2011: Due to the difficulty of making the matches even and replacing players, we will be replacing the 3 team format with the 2 team format. Due to this change, the rosters must be altered. Most of the Nordiques are being absorbed into the Cliney Crew. The others, as well as a few original Cliney Crew guys, are now a part of the Blue Team. Also, the SINGLES Matches are being moved to the 3rd nine holes. That means that the Cliney Cup will be won (or lost) during the SINGLES Matches, really adding to the pressure on everybody to perform in their SINGLES match.
The host course for this event is Stonecrest Golf Course. Beer is not sold at Stonecrest. Please pack yourself a cooler for the day. Also, there will not be any supplied drinks or food. However, we will have access to a pavilion between rounds and after golf, so bringing yourself some drinks and food would be a good idea.
The starting time is scheduled for 10:00am. Please arrive at the course by 9:45am for registration. There is a Driving Range Available at this venue.
The cost for this event is $30 per person pre-paid for Closest to the Pins, Long Drives, and other Proximatey Prizes. The cost of golf is an additional $50 (for all 27 holes) and is payable at the course.
As always, we will be playing 27 holes of matchplay action. The format will be as follows:
The first 9 holes, we will be playing 2-MAN SCRAMBLE matches worth 1 point each.
The second 9 holes, we will be playing 2-MAN teams in FOUR BALL matches also worth 1 point each.
For the final 9 holes, we will be RE-GROUPING and playing SINGLES matches also worth 1 points each.
There will be 24 proximatey prizes throughout the day. There will be 6 Individual CPs, 14 Individual 2nd Shot CPs, 2 Individual 3rd Shot CPs, & 2 Individual Long Drives worth $30 each (no carry-overs). Any left-over prizes will be awarded via a raffle.
